Lord Vishnu Devotion is Important – “ఆర్భాటంకంటే భక్తే ముఖ్యం”
నారదుడు నారాయణ మంత్రాన్ని జపిస్తూ వైకుంఠాన్ని చేరుకున్నాడు. అక్కడ శేషతల్పం మీద ఉన్న విష్ణుమూర్తిని చూడగానే… నారదుడిలో ఓ ఆలోచన మెదిలింది.

విష్ణుమూర్తికి నన్ను మించిన భక్తుడు ఎవరు ఉంటారు’ అనుకున్నాడు. ఆవిషయాన్నే సాక్షాత్తూ విష్ణుమూర్తి నోట వినాలనుకున్నాడు నారదుడు.
‘ఓ దేవదేవా! ఈ ముల్లోకాలలోనూ నిన్ను అత్యంత భక్తిగా
కొలుచుకునేది ఎవరు’ అని అడిగాడు.
‘ఓస్! అదేమంత కష్టమైన ప్రశ్న కానే కాదు.
అల్లదిగో ఆ పల్లెటూరిలో ఓ చిన్న గుడిసె కనిపిస్తోంది కదా! అందులో ఓ రైతు నివసిస్తున్నాడు.
నన్నడిగితే ఈ ప్రపంచంలో నా గురించి తీవ్రంగా ధ్యానం చేసేది అతనే!’ అన్నాడు విష్ణుమూర్తి.
అనునిత్యం హరినామస్మరణ చేసే తనకంటే ఆ చిన్న రైతు ఎలా గొప్ప భక్తుడవుతాడు?’ అనుకుంటూ ఓసారి తన దివ్యదృష్టితో ఆ రైతు జీవితంలోకి చూశాడు.
ఆ రైతు మహా పేదవాడు. అతనికి ఓ ఎకరం పొలం మాత్రమే జీవనాధారం. ఎలాంటి సౌకర్యాలు లేని ఆ ఎకరం పొలంలోనూ నానాచాకిరీ చేస్తే కానీ అతనికి బొటాబొటీకా తిండి దక్కేదికాదు.
ఉదయం లేచిన దగ్గర నుంచీ రాత్రి నిద్రపోయే దాకా అతనికి అసలు భగవన్నామస్మరణ చేసుకోవడానికి వెసులుబాటే చిక్కేది కాదు. రోజు మొత్తం మీదా మహా అయితే ఓ నాలుగైదు సార్లు నారాయణుడిని తల్చుకునేవాడు అంతే!
అలాంటి రైతు తనకంటే గొప్ప భక్తుడని విష్ణుమూర్తి చెప్పకనే చెప్పడం నారదునికి మహా సిగ్గుగా తోచింది.
ఇంతలో విష్ణుమూర్తి…అన్నట్లు నాకో చిన్న సాయం చేసిపెట్టవా నారదా! ఈ పాల కుండ ఉంది చూశావూ దాన్ని కాస్త అలా బ్రహ్మలోకానికి తీసుకువెళ్లి ఇచ్చిరావా అయితే మార్గమధ్యంలో పాలు ఏమాత్రం తొణకకూడదు సుమా! ఒక్క చుక్క కిందకి ఒలికినా అపచారం అవుతుంది.’ అంటూ ఓ కుండ నిండుగా పాలని నారదునికి అప్పగించాడు.
అక్కడ దాన్ని క్షేమంగా అందించి విజయగర్వంతో నారదుడు విష్ణుమూర్తి చెంతకు చేరుకున్నాడు.
“చెప్పిన పని అద్భుతంగా పూర్తి చేశావు. సంతోషం నారదా! కానీ ఓ చిన్న అనుమానం. నువ్వు పాలకుండని తీసుకుని వెళ్లేటప్పుడు నా నామాన్ని ఎన్నిసార్లు స్మరించారు” అని అడిగాడు విష్ణుమూర్తి.
ఆ ప్రశ్న విని తెల్లబోయాడు నారదుడు. ఎందుకంటే తన దృష్టంతా పాలు ఒలికిపోకుండా చూసుకోవడంలోనే ఉంది. కాబట్టి నారాయణుడిని తల్చుకునే అవకాశమే లేదు.

అప్పుడర్థం అయ్యింది నారదుడికి… విష్ణుమూర్తి ప్రశ్నలోని
ఆంతర్యం! తను ఈ ఒక్క రోజు ఏదో పనిలో పడి అసలు
నారాయణుడిని తల్చుకోవడమే మర్చిపోయాడు.
అలాంటిది, ఆ రైతు ఎంతో కష్టాన్నీ, శ్రమనీ ఓర్చుకుంటూ కూడా అంతటి అలసటలోనూ నారాయణుడిని తల్చుకోవడం మానలేదు.
అన్నీ ఉన్నప్పుడు భగవంతుని స్మరించుకోవడం గొప్ప కాదు, లేమిలో కూడా ఆయనను తల్చుకోవడం గొప్ప విషయం అని అర్థమైంది నారదుడికి!
“ఆర్భాటంకంటే భక్తే ముఖ్యం” అనే సూత్రమూ బోధపడింది.

That farmer is very poor. An acre of land is the only source of livelihood for him. If he works in that one acre field where there are no facilities, but he will not get any vegetarian food.
From the time he wakes up in the morning till he sleeps at night, he does not have a way to remember Bhagavanna. If the whole day is great, he would think of Narayan forty times!
Naradu felt very ashamed that Vishnu Murthy said that such a farmer is a greater devotee than him.
