Kuwait City, 15th January 2021: Kuwait sees a decline in cases, iiQ8, COVID-19 cases decline Intensive Care Unit occupancy drops to between 8 and 10% The spokesman of Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, Abdullah Al Sanad, revealed on Wednesday that Kuwait has become one of the countries that is witnessing a decline in COVID-19 cases. While Kuwait has seen stability in containing the spread of the virus, Al Sanad called on citizens and residents to continue to adhere to the health measures put in place. In the past week, the per cent of confirmed COVID-19 cases to swabs conducted, averaged around 4.6 per cent, a steep decline from the past few months where the average was sitting at 10 to 12 per cent. Kuwait City, 15th January 2021: E-platform Facilitates Domestic Workers' Return To Kuwait From 'High-Risk' Nations BelSalamah' is an electronic platform aims to facilitate return of domestic workers from the 'high-risk' countries. ◾ Return costs KD270 for every worker registered under Article 20 of the residency law, which applies to domestic helpers. ◾ The cost includes a 14-day quarantine, according to health requirements, meals, security & 3 PCR tests. ◾ The tickets are not included in the return program, as they are different depending on destination. ◾ Additional flights of the return of passengers will be organized in cooperation with Kuwait Airways, Al-Jazeera Airways & the other companies working at Kuwait Airport. ◾ All domestic workers' passengers must hold a document from a laboratory accredited by their countries showing he/she is negative. ◾ The passengers will be subjected to another PCR test. ◾ If the tests' results are n…
