Departures: Registration on “Kuwait Traveler” application/website, the PCR certificate if required, and health insurance for the treatment of Corona ٭ Registering on “Kuwait – Traveler” application and submitting the relevant “barcode” at all stages of travel. ٭ Obtaining a health certificate issued by laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Health, proving free from Corona virus if necessary, according to the requirements of each country while adhering to the required period of validity. ٭ Citizens must obtain travel health insurance that covers treatment for the “Covid 19” virus. ٭ Adhere to health requirements in terms of wearing masks and gloves, the use of sterilizers and adherence to social distancing. …

Kuwait has ramped up its coronavirus testing and contact tracing in a bid to accurately assess the transmission rate, which in turn, would lead to large-scale research on demographic variables related to the spread of the contagion, according to a ministry statement. All medical facilities running PCR tests have been properly accredited, as per guidelines issued by the World Health Organization, the statement added, revealing that some seven labs applied for accreditation, one of which has been certified so far. …

The Director-General for Civil Aviation issued a circular saying that passengers have all rights to get a full refund for bookings cancelled due to the closure of Kuwait International Airport as part of the lockdown from 14th March till 31st July 2020. The circular was issued to all airlines, travel and tourism agencies operating from Kuwait. In a circular, GDCA said that the traveller has the right to request a refund of their purchases including travel tickets, hotel reservations and other tourist services that were cancelled from 14th March to 31st July regardless of the condition of the reservation, whether refundable or non-refundable, without any deduction. The meeting, chaired by KU Rector Dr. Fayez Al-Thafeiri, reviewed the technical controls of online study, Secretary-General of the University Dr. Muthanna Al-Refa'ie told reporters. The conferees reviewed the preparations for the new academic year 2020-2021 and approved introducing the pharmacology doctorate program to the coming year, Dr. Al-Refa'ie revealed. They also approved remunerating 13 members of the KU teaching staff to the degrees of professor and associate professor, he added.
