Air quality assessment stations have detected an increase in the concentration of fine particles suspended in the air as a result of dust.
The Environment Public Authority called on citizens and residents who suffer from respiratory diseases, children and the elderly to avoid being outside for long periods and limit outdoor activities as much as possible.
The authority explained that the call comes based on the warning issued by the Meteorological Department of the presence of activity in the northwest winds that raise dust during separate periods of the day, and based on what is monitored at the air quality assessment stations affiliated with the authority of an increase in the concentration of fine particles suspended in the air as a result of the dust raised.
