They clarified that this misunderstanding resulted from misinterpretation of the text of the bill’s article 13, stressing that the bill mainly aims to address deficiencies and combat residency trafficking. The sources explained that the draft law stipulates an increase in the fine for violators of the residency law from KD 2 per day to KD 4, and KD 10 per day for violators of visit visas. Only 1 Year to renew residence for the above age 60 years , iiQ8 Kuwait City, 12th August, 2020 : The Public Authority for Manpower has informed that those who have reached age of 60 and above and who do not hold an university degree will have to prepare to leave the country by end of this year and finish necessary residency procedures in order to leave the country as next year onward there will be no renewal of residence for those 60 and above. Those who have already stamped their residence for 1 year will not be able to continue next year unless new instructions are received. This move will modify demographics, settle administrative and supervisory jobs in the private sector, and will also control marginal employment in the country.
