Embassy of India is pleased to announce the launch of a ‘Registration Drive’ for Indian nationals in Kuwait who do not have valid travel documents such as valid passport or valid Emergency Certificates. All those without travel documents are advised to register by filling in the google form online (https://forms.gle/pMf6kBxix4DYhzxz7) or by submitting duly filled-in enclosed application form at the boxes kept at the Embassy Consular Hall and at Indian passport offices in Sharq, Jleeb Al Shuwaikh and Fahaheel. Please note that the current Passport/Emergency Certificate number will be the de-facto registration number for this drive. Increase in renewal fees of vehicle registration book Kuwait City, 10th September, 2020: Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at the Interior Ministry Major-General Jamal Al Sayegh has issued a circular to all General Traffic Departments in all Governorates to activate the Law No. 67 for the year 1976, and executive regulations No. 81 for the year 1976 related to the renewal fees of the registration book of the vehicles which states that fees for renewal of private vehicle is KD 5, heavy transport vehicles (bus) KD 15, private transport (mini bus) KD 10, private and public transport (pick up) KD 10, reports Al-Seyassah / Arab Times daily. According to the circular, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, the renewal of registration book for general transport of (cargo and animals) KD 20, renewal of tow trucks vehicles KD 10. No residency renewal for 68,318 Expats, iiQ8, indianinQ8 Kuwait City, 3rd September, 2020: The Public Authority for Manpower has begun preparing a database for all those who have reached the age of 60 years and over and who are holders of a high school diploma or lesser or having equivalent certificates. As per the decision they will be prohibited from issuing, transferring and renewing a work permit, starting from next year. Total of 68,318 expatriate workers are aged 59 an 60 years old who hold a high school diploma or less. The decision comes within the government’s vision to address demographic imbalances and its impact on the labor market. Regarding those whose work permit has expired during this period, the clarified that those workers who have reached 59 or 60 yrs of age can renew or transfer only for one year.
