Kuwait City, 10th November 2020: Direct flights from 34 countries awaits MOH decision, iiQ8 Plans for direct flights from 34 banned country awaits health authorities decision Since Kuwait International Airport has been opened for commercial aviation from August until 8th November, in a period of 100 days about 192,000 passengers entered Kuwait. From these majority were expats coming in from Dubai and Istanbul after Kuwait had banned 34 countries. The coordination is ongoing with the health authorities in matters of assessing the situation of 34 countries. Kuwait City, 4th November 2020: Lockdowns and curfews to return for 2 weeks if infections increases, iiQ8 During recent meeting the cabinet reviewed the plans presented by Minister of Health Dr. Basel Al Sabah that if there has been increase in infection cases between 6 to 10 weeks, the minister recommended implementation of partial curfew from 9 pm to 4 am for period of two weeks with suspension of commercial flights from and to Kuwait. In addition to shutting down malls to prevent gatherings and closing restaurants for dining, only allowing home delivery of food. He stated from 26th Jun 2020 the cases are in high numbers which coincided with lifting of total ban and easing of precautionary measures. There has been a decrease in 40% of infection during the total ban period which was a positive sign.
