PACI Civil IDs distribution started from Ahmadi, iiQ8 Kuwait City, 17th August, 2020: Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) Ahmad Al-Sabr announced that partial work in the authority’s branch in Ahmadi Governorate started Sunday in order to distribute the completed Civil IDs to citizens and serve them as part of the first stage of operations reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Sabr told the daily that the new branch serves the residents of the governorate, affirming the branch has been handed over to the authority and it is waiting for completion of furnishing to pave way for the official opening at the beginning of next year. He explained the partial operation is for the distribution of Civil IDs to citizens and their housemaids, stressing the branch does not receive transactions as it only distributes Civil IDs for now – from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm during official working days. …

No work permit for above 60 years old, iiQ8, Kuwait News Kuwait City, 16th August, 2020: The Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Ahmed Al-Mousa, issued a decision halting the renewal of a work permit for those who have reached the age of sixty years and above, and have a high school diploma or below or a certificate that is equivalent. The degree will be in effect from 1 January, 2021, reports Al Rai. According to statistics, there are around 83,562 expats in the country who are 60 and above without university degrees, reports Al Qabas. They are divided into five categories: the illiterate at 15,847, those who can read and write are around 24,000, those with a primary education are 10,000, Intermediate school level diploma holders are 16,000 and Secondary level education degrees are 16,000. The Ministry of Health issued health requirements that regulate the salons’ return to work, starting next Tuesday. According to the regulations, a system will be started for reserving appointments for shaving, only one employee will be required to serve each customer, and there is a ban on shaving the beard, face scrubbing, dyeing eyebrows and applying makeup.
