In continuation to Embassy’s earlier press release, dated 09 September 2020, on the above subject, it is clarified that this registration drive is for all Indian Engineers in Kuwait and not just those, who face accreditation related difficulties in respect of their engineering colleges/institutions. Please note that this information is urgently required in the Embassy to take up the matter concerning Indian engineers with concerned authorities. 2. Kuwait City, 20th September, 2020: MOH approves list of doctors, nurses and technicians stranded abroad The Ministry of Health has forwarded the list of doctors, nurses and technicians assigned in public hospitals and health facilities, who are stranded abroad, to the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate their return to Kuwait within the next few days. Sources disclosed those covered by the decision include 300 to 500 doctors, technicians and nurses; affirming the ministry is keen on taking the necessary measures for them to return to the country soon in cooperation with its Foreign Affairs counterpart and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Kuwait City, 20th September, 2020: Kuwait opens 3rd drive-thru testing station Kuwait will open a new drive-through PCR testing station to expand the COVID-19 testing capacity of the Arab country The new PCR testing station will be launched on Sept. 20 in Sabhan Area, KUNA quoted Fahad Al-Qemlas, Director of Public Health in the Kuwait's Ministry of Health (MoH), as saying. The station will conduct swab tests and is part of the MoH's efforts to conduct as many tests as possible to contribute to curbing the spread of the COVID-19, Fahad Al-Qemlas said, adding that people wishing to conduct swab tests could make an appointment through the ministry's website. The new facility, in full compliance with health and safety measures, could test up to 1,000 people per day at its initial phase, he noted. Kuwait City, 20th September 2020 : MoE announces public school schedule 🇰🇼 The E-learning committee at the Ministry of Education - Kuwait has announced that all classes will be conducted online for all students in fourth grade and higher under the e-learning schedule announced for all public school students. The committee has decided that for kindergarteners up to third-graders, will have to study from pre-recorded lessons. Students in the fourth and fifth grade, will have to attend live online classes but restricted to the afternoon from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. As for middle school students, from sixth grade to eight grade, their classes will be online from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. High school students will be participating in real time online classes only from 10:40 AM to 1:30 PM. Embassy of India in Kuwait is pleased to inform that the registration drive for Indian travel documents continues to proceed smoothly. The Embassy will contact each of the registered Indian nationals in due course.

Kuwait City, 15th September, 2020: No Residency extension for expired after 1st September, iiQ8 Residence permits expired on 1st September 2020, will not benefit from the deadline of Nov 30, 2020 – end permit extension The Residency Affairs Departments have received instructions from the concerned authority to strictly apply the law on all expatriates whose residence permits have expired on Sept 1, 2020, reports Al-Anba daily quoting an informed security source. The source pointed out expatriates whose residence permits expired on Sept 1, 2020, will not benefit from the deadline of Nov 30, 2020, issued by the Ministry of Interior. Kuwait City, 14th September, 2020: Kuwait May Witness Second Wave Of COVID-19, iiQ8 The second wave of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has started in Kuwait with the hike in the infection index, Al-Rai daily reported, quoting a ministerial source. On the positive tests of five MPs in one day for the coronavirus, the source said that the MPs experienced symptoms and were tested individually, which were not the same tests usually conducted prior to the convening of the National Assembly sessions. He did not rule out that other MPs would test positive once they have completed their medical examinations.
