Russian wealth fund to supply 10 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Dr Reddy's
Russia's sovereign wealth fund RDIF will supply 100 million (10 crore) doses of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine to drug maker Dr Reddy's Laboratories upon getting regulatory approval in India, a statement said on Wednesday.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Dr Reddy''s Laboratories have agreed to cooperate on clinical trials and distribution of Sputnik V vaccine in India, RDIF and Dr Reddy's said in a joint statement.
On August 11, the Sputnik V vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology was registered by the ministry of health of Russia and became the world's first registered vaccine against COVID-19 based on the human adenoviral vectors platform.

Residence permits expired on 1st September 2020, will not benefit from the deadline of Nov 30, 2020 – end permit extension
The Residency Affairs Departments have received instructions from the concerned authority to strictly apply the law on all expatriates whose residence permits have expired on Sept 1, 2020, reports Al-Anba daily quoting an informed security source. The source pointed out expatriates whose residence permits expired on Sept 1, 2020, will not benefit from the deadline of Nov 30, 2020, issued by the Ministry of Interior.
The source added, the decision states only those whose residence permit expired from March until end of August 2020 can benefit from the Nov 30, deadline.
Those whose residence permits have expired from the beginning of September will have to pay two dinars fine for each day, unless they approach any of the Residence Affairs Department …

Health Ministry official Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad on Monday said that "we are" still in the first wave of the COVID-2019 pandemic and the second wave is not necessarily connected to winter season.
The rise in infection cases is expected in this time period due to daily activities and poor social distancing measures, Al-Sanad told KUNA on Monday.
He added that ICU units cases rose by five percent last week, calling on people to stick to health measures to avoid a second wave.
He stressed on the importance of maintaining social distancing, wash hands regularly, wear a mask everywhere, while advising people with terminal diseases, pregnant women and elderly to avoid leaving the house unless it's necessary. - KUNA

Kuwait May Witness Second Wave Of COVID-19, iiQ8
The second wave of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has started in Kuwait with the hike in the infection index, Al-Rai daily reported, quoting a ministerial source.
On the positive tests of five MPs in one day for the coronavirus, the source said that the MPs experienced symptoms and were tested individually, which were not the same tests usually conducted prior to the convening of the National Assembly sessions.
He did not rule out that other MPs would test positive once they have completed their medical examinations.

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait announces to the public that it is suspending its passport renewal, authentication, notarial, and Report of Marriage services from 20 to 22 September 2020, to give way to Report of Birth and passport releasing-only operations for newborn children of Filipinos in Kuwait.
The Embassy will accommodate Report of Birth applicants strictly by appointment. Walk-in Report of Birth applications will not be accepted.

PACI allocates morning period to Citizens only, Cards Collection open for all
Kuwait City, 12th September, 2020 :
The Public Authority for Civil Information allocates the morning period to receive citizens and citizens of the Cooperation Council from 9 am to 1 pm, and the evening period from 2 pm to 6 pm to receive arrivals in the main building in South Surra to complete and record transactions.
For distribution of Civil ID cards the authority continues to deliver the cards as usal, from 6 AM to 6 PM for all Kuwaiti and Expats.
The authority has appealed to Kuwaitis and expatriates to complete their transactions online via the authority's website www.paci.gov.kw and book an appointment for visiting and authority will abide by these dates.
No transaction will be complete for those who don't have a prior appointment reports Al Rai.
All the visitors are requested to adhere to health measures such as, social distancing and wearing face masks.
