ఎందుకు మనం శివారాత్రి జరుపుకుంటాము ? Why do we celebrate Shivratri?
మహాశివరాత్రి హిందువులు ఆచరించే ఒక ముఖ్యమైన పండగ. ఇది శివ, పార్వతుల వివాహం జరిగిన రోజు. ఈ రోజు రాత్రి శివుడు తాండవం చేసే రోజు. హిందువుల క్యాలెండరులో ప్రతి నెలలో వచ్చే శివరాత్రిని మాస శివరాత్రి అంటారు. కానీ శీతాకాలం చివర్లో వేసవి కాలం ముందు వచ్చే మాఘ మాసంలో (ఫిబ్రవరి లేదా మార్చి) వచ్చే 13 లేదా 14 వ రోజుని మహాశివరాత్రి అంటారు.
శివరాత్రి పూజా విధానాలు :
శ్రీనగర్ లోని మండి పట్టణంలో శివరాత్రి ఉత్సవాలలో అలంకరించిన శివుని విగ్రహం.
ఆ తరువాత బ్రహ్మ, విష్ణువు ఆదిగా గల దేవతలు శివుడిని ధూపదీపాలతో అర్చించారు. దీనికి మెచ్చి శివుడు అక్కడి వారితో “మీరీనాడు చేసిన పూజకు సంతసించితిని. ఈ రోజు నుండి నేను అవతరించిన ఈ తిథి శివరాత్రి పర్వదినముగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందుతుంది.
ఈ రోజున ఉపవాసము చేసి భక్తితో నన్ను లింగ రూపముగా, సాకార రూపముగా ఎవరు అర్చిస్తారో వారికి మహాఫలము కలుగుతుంది” అని చెబుతాడు. తాను ఈ విధంగా అగ్నిలింగరూపముగా ఆవిర్భవించిన ప్రదేశము అరుణాచలముగా ప్రసిద్ధిచెంద గలదని చెబుతాడు.
జాగరణము
జాగరణము అనగా ప్రకృతిలో నిద్రాణమైయున్న శివశక్తిని, శివపూజా భజన లీలా శ్రవణాదులతో మేల్కొలిపి, తాను శివుడై, సర్వమును శివస్వరూపముగా భావించి, దర్శించుటయే నిజమైన జాగరణము. అప్పుడు శివపూజలో సాయుజ్యము, శివభజనలో సామీప్యము, శివభక్తులతో కూడి, శివ విషయములు ప్రసంగించుటలో సలోక్యము, శివధ్యానములో సారూప్యము సిద్ధించునని ఆదిశంకరాచార్యులు మాట ప్రత్యక్ష సత్యమగును. ఈ నాలుగింటిని శివరాత్రి నాడు ప్రత్యక్షముగా సాధించుటయే శివరాత్రి జాగరణము. జాగరణ దినమున UUపవాసము ఉంటారు.
ఈ జాగరణ సమయంలో తామున్న గృహ ఆవరణలోనో, తమ స్వంత పంటపొలాల్లోనో అక్కడి మట్టితో అక్కడే శివలింగాన్ని తయారుచేస్తూ జాముకొక శివలింగం తయారుచేసి పూజిస్తారు. సుభమ్ ఓం నమః శివాయః
🕉 మహా శివరాత్రి – లోతైన ఆధ్యాత్మిక భావం

రుద్రాభిషేకం
వేదాలలోనుండి ప్రత్యేకమైన మంత్రాలను రుద్ర సూక్తంగా పండితులచే పఠించబడుతుంది. దీనిని శివలింగానికి ప్రాతఃకాలంలో పవిత్రస్నానం చేయిస్తారు. దీనినే రుద్రాభిషేకం అంటారు. శివలింగంతో బాటు గండకీ నదిలో మాత్రమే లభించే సాలిగ్రామం కూడా పూజలందుకుంటుంది. దీనిద్వారా మనసులోని మలినాల్ని తొలగించుకోవడమే ఇందులోని పరమార్ధం.
పంచాక్షరి మంత్రం
పంచాక్షరి మంత్రం శివస్తోత్రాలలో అత్యుత్తమమైనది. ఈ మంత్రంలోని పంచ అనగా అయిదు అక్షరాలు “న” “మ” “శి” “వా” “య” (ఓం నమశ్శివాయ) నిరంతరం భక్తితో ఈనాడు పఠిస్తే శివసాయుజ్యం ప్రాప్తిస్తుంది.
మహామృత్యుంజయ మంత్రం
మహామృత్యుంజయ మంత్రం ఋగ్వేదం (7.59.12)లోని ఒక మంత్రము. దీనినే “త్రయంబక మంత్రము”, “రుద్ర మంత్రము”, “మృత సంజీవని మంత్రము” అని కూడా అంటారు. ఇదే మంత్రం యజుర్వేదం (1.8.6.i; 3.60)లో కూడా ఉంది. ఈ మంత్రాన్ని మృత్యుభయం పోగొట్టుకోవడానికి, మోక్షం కొరకు జపిస్తారు.
