 “గణపతి బాప్పా మోరియా!” అనేది వినాయకుడి వేడుకల సమయంలో భక్తులు వినాయకుడిని కొలిచేందుకు, ఆయనకు జేజేలు పలికేందుకు ఉపయోగించే ఒక ప్రసిద్ధ మంత్రం (వాక్యం). ఈ వాక్యం వినాయకుడి ప్రాముఖ్యతను తెలియజేయడంతో పాటు, ఆయన ఆశీర్వాదాలు అందజేయాలని కోరుకుంటుందని భక్తులు నమ్ముతారు. ‘మోర్య’ అనే పదం 14-16 శతాబ్దాల నాటి గణపత్య సాధువు అయిన సంత్ మోర్య గోసావి గౌరవార్థం వచ్చిందని, ఆయన భక్తి ద్వారా చించ్వాడ్ (పుణే సమీపంలో) గణేష్ భక్తికి కేంద్రంగా మారిందని ఒక సమాచారం సూచిస్తుంది.  

ఈ మంత్రం యొక్క అర్థం:

• గణపతి: వినాయకుడిని సూచిస్తుంది.
• బాప్పా: ‘తండ్రి’ లేదా ‘పూజ్యమైనవాడు’ అని అర్థం.
• మోరియా: ‘మోర్య’ అనే సాధువు పేరు నుండి వచ్చినట్లు భావిస్తున్నారు.

ఈ మంత్రాన్ని భక్తులు వినాయకుడి పండుగలైన గణేష్ చతుర్థి సమయంలో వినాయకుడికి ఘనంగా నివాళులర్పిస్తూ పఠిస్తారు.
