Eid to be celebrated on Monday 25.05.2020, no moon sighted
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, especially the month-long fasting from sunrise to sunset.
Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on May 25 (Monday) and the Shawwal Moon is likely to be sighted on May 24 (Sunday). The Moon is not sighted tonight. Delhi’s Jama Masjid’s Shahi Imam, Syed Ahmed Bukhari said in a statement,
“Eid ul-Fitr to be celebrated on May 25 as moon could not be sighted today. It’s important that we take precautions and maintain social distancing. We should stay away from shaking hands and hugging. We should follow government’s guidelines.”
