Kuwait City, 18th January 2022: 72 Hours Quarantine is not mandatory in Kuwait, iiQ8 info The Council of Ministers agreed to cancel the mandatory 72 hours quarantine for arriving passengers to Kuwait. All arriving passengers will be in quarantine for 7 days after arrival and may end the quarantine after testing negative for a PCR test after arrival at anytime. Earlier the passenger must wait for 72 hours to conduct the PCR test. However the cabinet cancel this condition and the arriving passenger can conduct the PCR immediately after arrival to end quarantine. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation also informed that the arriving passengers can end the quarantine immediately after conducting a PCR test on arrival. Kuwait City, 12th January 2022: Kuwait to allow entry of infected people who ended quarantine, iiQ8 info The Directorate General of the Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait has issued a new circular to all airlines about new measures to allow the entry of arrivals who were infected outside Kuwait and ended their isolation period. In its circular, the DGCA stipulated that vaccinated passengers have to submit a positive PCR test result certificate between a period of (7 to 28 days) prior to the date of the arrival. Meanwhile, unvaccinated passengers (only Kuwaitis) have to submit a positive PCR test result certificate between a period of (10 to 28 days) prior to the date of the arrival, it added. Kuwait City, 11th January 2022: Kuwait cuts isolation period for vaccinated to 7 days #Kuwait on Tuesday updated the quarantine & isolation conditions for vaccinated and unvaccinated people in the country, the MOH Spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad explained the conditions as follows: ◾ A person is considered in contact if they come in contact with a positive case for at least 15 minutes without covering the mouth and nose, and for a space of two meters or less. ◾ A person in contact must quarantine for 14 days that can be shortened to seven with a negative PCR test if they are vaccinated. Unvaccinated people must quarantine for the full 14-day period. ◾ In case of infection, a vaccinated person must isolate for seven days starting from the day of the PCR test, while an unvaccinated person must isolate for 10 days. In what could bring about a solution to a months-long crisis involving expatriates above 60 in Kuwait, the newly appointed Justice Minister Jamal Al Jalwai will hold talks this week with the agencies concerned to devise the “best mechanism” to address the problem, a local newspaper has reported. A disputed ban on renewing work permits for this category of expatriates who hold no university degree has been in effect in Kuwait for several months now, spelling trouble for them and their families. The request for renewal is available for everyone through MOI website, but whoever violates the conditions will not be able to print the license from automated devices which are placed at various commercial complexes in Kuwait. Some expats who don’t meet conditions mentioned in the traffic department website, completed their process on the website, paid fees and renewed their drivers license. When they went to print on the machines placed in commercial complexes they were taken by surprise as the machines did not issue the driving license.
