Kuwait City, 12th November 2020: 7 Days hotel quarantine for those returning from 34 banned countries, iiQ8 The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is awaiting the Ministry of Health’s announcement to start operations of Kuwait International Airport for 24 hours from 17th November onward. The health authorities stated that passengers arriving from banned countries have to comply with all health requirements besides there will be checking on arrival and mandatory institutional quarantine. Sources stated that health authorities are not satisfied with home quarantine and prescribed that those returning from banned countries an institutional quarantine for a period of 7 days in hotels with a PCR test to be done on seventh day based on result if it is negative the quarantine period ends, if positive the quarantine period continues, reports al rai. Kuwait City, 10th November 2020: Direct flights from 34 countries awaits MOH decision, iiQ8 Plans for direct flights from 34 banned country awaits health authorities decision Since Kuwait International Airport has been opened for commercial aviation from August until 8th November, in a period of 100 days about 192,000 passengers entered Kuwait. From these majority were expats coming in from Dubai and Istanbul after Kuwait had banned 34 countries. The coordination is ongoing with the health authorities in matters of assessing the situation of 34 countries. There has been a considerable amount of followup done in adding or reducing the number of countries that have reported an increase in corona virus infection cases recently. ISRO Begins Countdown For Launch Of PSLV-C49 On 7th November, iiQ8

Kuwait City, 7th November 2020: ISRO Begins Countdown For Launch Of India's Radar Imaging Satellite PSLV-C49 On November 7 ISRO begins countdown for launch of its radar imaging satellite on PSLV-C49 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle). The launch is scheduled for November 7 at 3:02 pm. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Friday informed that the countdown for the November 7 launch of earth observation satellite EOS-01 along with nine international customer satellite onboard launch vehicle PSLV-C49 has begun. According to the latest information posted on ISRO's Twitter handle, the PSLV rocket will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota on Saturday around 3:02 pm. This will be the first launch of the year.

Kuwait City, 29th October 2020: Indian Court asked government to ‘find some solution’ to bring back Indians, iiQ8 The India Supreme Court on Tuesday urged the Indian government to “find some solution” to bring home Indians, mostly blue-collar workers from Tamil Nadu, stranded in Kuwait during the pandemic. “You have to do something… You have to find some solution”, Justice M.R. Shah, a member of the three-judge Bench led by Justice Ashok Bhushan, addressed Additional Solicitor General K.M. Nataraj, representing the Centre. But the Centre said it was making every attempt to bring them home and the “availability of flights is no more a reason for being stranded in Kuwait”.
