Kuwait City, 22nd October, 2020: Proposal to lift ban on 34 countries – PCR test 3 times for arrivals To breathe in life in aviation sector, hotels, transportation, restaurants and SMEs this morning board members along with the chairman of Kuwait Airways and Jazeera airways meet with Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah to discuss proposals made by the two companies to restart air traffic and to receive passengers directly to Kuwait instead of spending their quarantine period of 14 days in countries which are not listed in banned list.The proposal also stated about taking all precautions which includes PCR test and quarantine for a period of one week. The plan is to accept passengers from 34 banned countries directly without spending 14 days in a non banned country, which will be classified into two categories ie. low risk and high risk to adopt special mechanisms to deal with each category. Kuwait City, 21st October, 2020: Kuwait Airways Board Directors request to open direct flights from all countries to Kuwait, iiQ8 Call to restart direct flights with quarantine in Kuwait The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways, Captain Ali Al-Dukhan, announced they had submitted a plan that includes the concerned airline to conduct the health checks and PCR tests required for passengers arriving on its flights in the designated building in accordance by the Ministry of Health, including the PCR test. Kuwait City, 15th October, 2020: Kuwait will not allow entry of any passengers without health requirements The head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesperson for the government, Tariq Al-Muzrim, confirmed that all passengers coming to Kuwait are subjected to the required health requirements, the government will not tolerate the implementation of ministerial decisions and will not allow the entry of any passenger without implementation of health requirements and without any exception.
