Mandatory quarantine and investigation from of Filipinos arriving in PH

Updates on the mandatory quarantine and case investigation from of Filipinos arriving in PH

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait reminds the public that all overseas Filipinos will undergo a mandatory quarantine and COVID-19 testing upon their arrival in the Philippines. Overseas Filipinos are also reminded that the cost of accommodation at government-designated quarantine centers will be paid by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) for land-based OFWs, or the local manning agency or the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for sea-based OFWs.

Returning Filipinos who are not OFWs can choose from a list of government-approved quarantine centers, at their own expense. The updated list of quarantine centers which non-OFWs may choose from may be accessed from this link: http://quarantine.doh.gov.ph/facilities-inspected-as-of-june-11-2020/. Returning non-OFWs are also advised to take a PCR test in Kuwait, which may come in handy before they leave Kuwait.

In addition, all overseas Filipinos are required to accomplish a Case Investigation Form (CIF) prior to their arrival in the Philippines. Those who are traveling to the Philippines are requested to fill out the CIF by visiting http://ecif.redcross.com.ph/, and by saving a screenshot or printing the QR Code that will appear after the submission of the CIF. The said QR Code will be presented to health authorities upon arrival at the airport.

The Embassy advises Filipinos in Kuwait who wish to fly home to the Philippines to contact their preferred airline or travel agency to book their flights. Meanwhile, the Embassy informs Kuwait-based Filipinos who are currently stranded in the Philippines that Kuwait International Airport remains closed for inbound commercial flights.
