Indian Foreign Minister Urges GCC to facilitate return of Indians to resume work
Foreign Affairs Minister S Jayashankar urges Arab countries to allow Indian laborers and employees back to Gulf countries.
Jayashankar made this request at the visual media meeting held with Gulf Co-Operation Council (GCC).
Thanked the Arab countries who gave shelter to Indian labourers during the lockdown in corona. Mr. S Jayashankar along with GCC General Secretary Naif Fala M Al-Hajraf, Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdullateef bin Rashid Al Jayani, UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash attended this meeting. Senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar also attended.

India-GCC countries have decided to help each other in political, financial and other matters.
GCC countries have asked India to be considered a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council from 2021. It has been decided to help in important matters like Covid-19, Terrorism.
