DGCA approved to use Digital Civil ID in Travel, iiQ8 Kuwait Mobile Civil ID can use as Travel Document

The digital civil card accessible through the Kuwait Mobile ID app is a permissible form of identification for ports, airlines, tourism and travel offices and airports of all countries of the world. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) gave its approval for its use for arriving and departing travelers through Kuwait International Airport that also facilitates several processes for the user. This was done following stated instructions from the relevant authorities in the country.

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has also required both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and Civil Aviation to check an expatriate’s digital Civil ID for proof of residency when traveling.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also requested foreign embassies in the country and Kuwaiti embassies abroad, as well as to the Ministry of Interior to ease the process for expats to show their digital civil id cards in various procedures for entering and exiting Kuwait.

Anyone with a valid civil card can sign up to Kuwait Mobile ID app to create a digital civil id card as proof of having a valid residency visa in Kuwait while passing through the Kuwait Airport and is valid for official procedures. The digit civil id replaces the physical civil id card in accordance with the ministerial decision. The Kuwait Mobile ID app can be downloaded on smartphones for Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates who hold valid residence visas, and can be used for all official authorities as well as private entities in the country.
