Countries Shut Borders Over New South Africa Variant Of #Covid19

Kuwait Health Minister Dr Basel Al-Sabah is hosting an urgent meeting with top ministry officials to discuss measures to face the new variant that emerged in some countries in southern Africa, Bahrain has suspended flights & entry for travellers from 6 new countries, including South Africa due to concerns related to Covid-19.

The following 6 countries have been added to the red list
South Africa,
Namibia,
Botswana,
Zimbabwe,
Kingdom of Lesotho &
Kingdom of Eswatini,

While Germany & Italy joined Britain in banning most travel from South Africa as governments scramble to prevent the spread of a new Covid-19 variant (B 11529) with a large number of mutations.
