Kuwait City, 27th February 2022: New timings for vaccination centers during National Days Mishref only morning shift Ministry of Health, Kuwait unveiled the new schedules of work at COVID-19 vaccination centers during the celebrations marking the country's National Day and Independence Day, from 27th February to 3rd March, 2022. Kuwait Vaccination Center at Mishref Fairground will be open for people aged above 40 years From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM without the requirement of prior appointment The primary healthcare centers, namely the centers of Al-She'b, Salwa, Omariya, Masayel and AlNa'iem, will be open between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Kuwait City, 6th June 2021: Opening of pre-schools contingent on proof of vaccination, iiQ8 Pre-schools in Gulf state to open and resume business this month Kuwait City: Preschools in Kuwait are set to open in June provided that each school provides proof that their staff are vaccinated, local media reported. The announcement comes after the COVID-19 Emergency Committee at the Ministry of Health announced last month it had given preschools the green light to resume activity. Nursery closures Like schools and universities, pre-schools have been closed over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic there were around 500 nurseries across Kuwait. But then in the past year, the Preschool Owners Forum (PFO) reported that 200 nurseries were shut for not adhering to health measures. In addition, 100 closed their doors as due to economic losses. Kuwait City, 15th February 2021: Kuwait DGCA issued circular to charge PCR Test, Quarantine for all , iiQ8 The Deputy Director General for Kuwait International Airport Affairs, Eng. Saleh Al-Fadaghi, issued a circular to airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport, charging airlines the cost of checking the "pcr" for all passengers coming to Kuwait through the "Kuwait-Traveler" platform. The circular, which was obtained by Al-Anbaa, stated that these decisions came in implementation of Cabinet decisions to impose institutional quarantine on all passengers coming to Kuwait for a period of 7 days, starting from the current date of February 21. Kuwait City, 8th February 2021: Kuwait to launch 10 mobile vaccination units, iiQ8 So far 300,000 people have pre-registered to take the vaccine The Ministry of Health, Kuwait announced that it will deploy 10 mobile units to vaccinate people that are unable to leave their homes due to severe health conditions, local media reported. The mobile vaccination units will be targeted to those that are bedridden, people with special needs and anybody that has a severe illness that prevents them from traveling to the vaccination centers. There will be two mobile units for each of Kuwait’s five health districts.
