Kuwait City, 8th February 2021: Kuwait to launch 10 mobile vaccination units, iiQ8 So far 300,000 people have pre-registered to take the vaccine The Ministry of Health, Kuwait announced that it will deploy 10 mobile units to vaccinate people that are unable to leave their homes due to severe health conditions, local media reported. The mobile vaccination units will be targeted to those that are bedridden, people with special needs and anybody that has a severe illness that prevents them from traveling to the vaccination centers. There will be two mobile units for each of Kuwait’s five health districts. Vaccine centers:- As Kuwait received the first batch of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine last week, the Ministry of Health approved 15 medical centers across Kuwait to begin administering the vaccine. Kuwait City, 8th February 2021: Kuwait Hotel quarantine could signal flight ban end, iiQ8 Country announced last August a ban on direct flights from dozens of countries A Kuwaiti decision to apply a mandatory quarantine to all passengers to the country is “likely” to dismantle a flight ban imposed months ago on health grounds, a local newspaper has said. Starting from February 21, Kuwait will enforce mandatory seven-day hotel quarantine on all passengers arriving in Kuwait at their expense to curb the spread of COVID-19. Upon the end of the institutional quarantine period, passengers will have to undergo domestic quarantine for seven more days. Kuwait City, 4th February 2021: No Entry to Kuwait for Expats for two weeks, iiQ8 The head of the Government Communication Center and the official spokesperson for the government, Tariq Al-Muzrim announced that the Council of Ministers decided that while the airport will not close, expats will not be permitted entry to Kuwait for 2 (Two) weeks, starting next Sunday, Al Qabas daily reported. The sources confirmed to the daily that a recommendation was adopted to impose an institutional quarantine for a week on those arrivals to Kuwait, provided that the decision will be effective later this month.
