Revised standards to facilitate speedy repatriation of Indians from Kuwait New Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) released by the Indian Government, repatriation through charter service has been better streamlined for all flights from 25th June, 2020 onwards. Guidelines for domestic travel (air/train/Inter-state bus travel) 1) Dos and Don'ts shall be provided along with tickets to the travellers by the agencies concerned. 2) All passengers shall be advised to download Arogya Setu app on their mobile devices. 3) Suitable announcement about COVID-19 including precautionary measures to be followed shall be made at airports/railway station/bus terminals and in flights/trains/bus. 4) The States/las shall ensure that all passengers shall undergo thermal screening at the point of departure and only asymptomatic passengers are allowed to board the flight/train/bus. 5) During boarding and travel, all passengers shall use face covers/mask. Guidelines for international passengers (arrivals in India) Before boarding, all travellers to give undertaking that they will undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days – 7 days paid institutional quarantine at own cost, followed by 7 days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health. Only for exceptional and compelling reasons such as cases of human distress, pregnancy, death in family serious illness and parent(s) accompanied by children below 10 years, as assessed by the receiving states, home quarantine may be permitted for 14 days. Use of Aarogya Sethu app shall be mandatory in such cases. Dos and Don'ts shall be provided along with ticket to the travelers by the agencies concerned. Vande Bharat-II: Air India to operate flights to 31 countries from May 16 More than 8,000 Indians have been flown back so far in the first phase, mainly from West Asia, in flights operated by Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express. Air India has opened bookings for the second phase of 149 repatriation flights under the government’s Vande Bharat Mission to bring back Indians stranded in 31 countries from May 16.
