Amiri Diwan Announces the passing away of HH the Amir Sheikh Nawaf
Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs: With great sadness and sorrow, we mourn the Kuwaiti people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the friendly peoples of the world, the late His Highness the Amir,Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed away to his Lord today, Saturday.
The Shopping malls in Kuwait including The Avenues, 360 Mall, Assima Mall, Al-Kout Mall, Souq AlMubarakiya and Murouj will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday as Kuwait mourns the passing of the late Amir His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The shops and restaurants will open again on Tuesday, the malls said in statements on social media.

“It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce to the Kuwaiti people and the Arab and Islamic nations the death of the late His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who passed away today, Saturday December 16th. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Abdullah said.

The Ministry of Education declared the suspension of activities in the Ministry of Education, including its central offices, educational zones, schools, and institutes for three days starting from Sunday, 17th December as a mark of respect for the passing of the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Council of Ministers calls on His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as the Amir of the country. The Minister of Cabinet Affairs announces official mourning for 40 days and the closure of official departments for three days. The closure is from Sunday, 17th till Tuesday 19th
