Transit and transfer passengers not allowed in Kuwait Airport, iiQ8
Transit passengers forbidden from disembarking from the plane or entering KIA
Transit and transfer passengers, who wish to transfer from one plane to another, on flights are not permitted to enter Kuwait International Airport (KIA) under the recent directive by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Al Qabas reported.
Director of Operations Department Mansour Al-Hashemi said in a letter addressed to one of the ground service providers’ companies that based on the Ministry of Health letter issued on February 19, 2021, which states that transit passengers and those transferred on flights are not allowed to disembark from the plane or be present at KIA.
In the same context, a source explained to Al-Qabas that this step would help to ensure the health system in the country is not overburdened.
