Saleh Al-Fadaghi, issued a circular to airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport, charging airlines the cost of checking the "pcr" for all passengers coming to Kuwait through the "Kuwait-Traveler" platform. The circular, which was obtained by Al-Anbaa, stated that these decisions came in implementation of Cabinet decisions to impose institutional quarantine on all passengers coming to Kuwait for a period of 7 days, starting from the current date of February 21. Kuwait City, 13th February 2021: Kuwait to reopen Buffets, Laundries, iiQ8 COVID-19: Buffets in Kuwait allowed to reopen but with strict health and safety measures Laundries also allowed to operate after 8pm as coronavirus restrictions ease Buffets at restaurants and hotels in Kuwait will be permitted, provided they adhere to physical spacing and health requirements, set by the Health Conditions Committee, Al Qabas daily reported. The committee also decided to allow laundries to operate after 8pm. However, they are not allowed to open doors or receive customers inside, they can rather perform their duties to prepare clothes and deliver them to their owners the next day. Kuwait City, 12February 2021: Kuwait shortens Friday sermon at Masjids, iiQ8 Set at maximum of 15 minutes to limit coronavirus spread Kuwait’s religious authorities have curtailed the duration of the Friday sermon and prayers as the country is endeavouring to limit the spread of the coronavirus, a local newspaper reported today. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf has set the maximum of the sermon and the weekly congregation prayers at 15 minutes to protect the worshippers, Al Anba newspaper quoted an official as saying. Head of the Awqaf’s Technical Affairs Directorate Badr Al Deifiri added that the ministry has issued a circular to mosque imams and preachers about importance of abiding by the set timing and the worshippers’ observance of health directives inside mosques. Kuwait City, 11th February, 2021: Majority of coronavirus cases are amongst 16-44 age group, iiQ8 COVID-19: 61% of positive cases are Kuwaitis The spokesman for Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, Dr Abdullah Al Sanad, revealed that 61 per cent of those infected with COVID-19 throughout the month of January were Kuwaitis. While the Ministry has held a weekly press conference since the start of the pandemic, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, Al Sanad announced it will be holding a press conference daily at 7pm (8pm UAE time) to keep the public informed.
