The Ministerial Resolution No. 366/455 of 2020 states that about 405,000 expats can automatically renew their residency until the end of this month. The degree will be in effect from 1 January, 2021, reports Al Rai. According to statistics, there are around 83,562 expats in the country who are 60 and above without university degrees, reports Al Qabas. The evacuation flights began from yesterday for those who wish to return back to India. The agreement between two countries are that flights are intended for departure only and not for arrivals in compliance with the circular issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in advance to prevent the entry of foreigners into Kuwait from 31 countries, including India. The coordination is underway to increase the departing passengers to 2,500 per day from 18th to 31st of Aug which will be implemented soon.
