Kuwait probes official over disputed ban on expats ‘Decree’ banning expats above 60 without degree from renewing work permits annulled A senior Kuwaiti official has been referred to an interrogation for issuing a controversial decree banning expatriates above 60 who hold no university degree from renewing their work permits, local media reported. A government agency last week invalidated the ban. Kuwait City, 11th October 2021: 6G Internet Services at 50 times the speed of 5G Internet Telecom Secretary K Rajaraman has asked the state-run Telecom Research and Development Organization (C-DOT) to conduct research on 6G and other future technologies to keep pace with the international market. While 5G is 10 times faster than 4G, 6G works about 50 times faster than 5G, he said, adding that efforts are being made to make these services commercially available by 2028-30. Theoretically, the maximum download speed in 5G is 20 GB per second, while Vodafone Idea recently revealed that it has received a maximum speed of 3.7 GB in tests conducted in the country. Kuwait City, 10th October 2021: Booster Dose is not a Mandatory for travelers, Kuwait MoH, iiQ8 News The procedures related to travel will remain the same despite registration for booster dose (3rd Dose) being opened for 18 yrs and above. Those who have been vaccinated with two doses of Pfizer, Oxford and Moderna and one dose of Johnson & Johnson travel are considered immunized and are allowed to enter Kuwait. Those who have received two doses of unapproved vaccines in Kuwait such as (Sinopharma, Sinovac and Sputnik) need to receive at least one dose of approved vaccines in Kuwait. International organizations recommend third dose to boost immunity against coronavirus. Last week the European Medicine Agency authorized administration of a third dose of Pfizer for adults and those above the age of 18, at least after 6 months after receiving the second dose, report Al Rai.
