Kuwait Government rejected tax on expat remittances
High level ministerial sources reiterated government’s stance that rejected the proposal to impose taxes on expatriates’ remittances.
It was earlier approved by the Parliamentary Financial Committee, and the relevant report referred to the parliament for deliberations and voting.

The sources added government’s position toward the proposal hasn’t changed a bit. It indicating the government has always been against the idea of imposing taxes on expatriates’ money transfers. Its due to its negative repercussion—being a partial solution that will not bring any worthwhile returns to the treasury.
