MOH: Kuwait Detects Covid-19 Variant JN.1, No Reason for Alarm..
Covid-19 variant JN.1 cases have been detected in #Kuwait, however, the discovery is “predictable and not worrisome,” according to the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, who made the statement on Thursday.
Dr. Al-Sanad also the director of the health communication center, addressed the public on Thursday with new messages, starting with the announcement regarding the discovery of JN.1 cases, These cases resulted from tests conducted by genetic examination teams tasked with monitoring the outbreak of Covid variants and other viruses in the country.

However, Dr. Al-Sanad assured the public that the detection of such variants is predictable and not worrisome. “There are no extraordinary preventive measures at present,” Dr. Al-Sanad stated, emphasizing that this time of the year regularly sees the occurrence of seasonal viruses that cause respiratory illnesses.
He advised individuals who feel infected to maintain a distance from others and seek medical consultation, especially when symptoms persist or increase in intensity.

Dr. Al-Sanad added that the ministry provides vaccinations for influenza, pneumonia, or the latest type of jab at 42 centers throughout Kuwait, He recommended that people, particularly those aged 60 and above and those suffering from chronic diseases, get immunized, He also advised personnel at health facilities to use masks during work hours. #الكويت
