1. Prior to 2014 BJP was holding 4 states. After three years since 2014, BJP, is in control of 18 states either alone or in coalitoon, covering 75% geographical area. BJP is talking subject everywhere which once Congress occupied. All the medias discuss or troll BJP.
There is an intensive love or hatred towards BJP . All these lead to one thing and that is BJP is gaining importance.

This phenomenal change has been brought about by the sustained efforts of Amit, Shah and party workers in the state. The party which got 17% at the peak of its Modi wave in 2014, retained 10.5% during assembly election. Many have raised there eye brows over this minimum shedding of its votes, when the expectations were that it may lose 10%.

4. In 2004 BJP secured 22.16% for 138 seats, in 2009 BJP secured 19% for 116 seats, in 2014 BJP secured 31% for 282 seats. Though BJP had a slight dip in 2009, it came out strongly in 2014 to post it’s best performance and also for any party in the last thirty years.
This certainly is not a sign of decline.
5. In UP BJP secured 16.97% with 51 seats in 2007, 15% votes for 47 seats in 2012, and 41.5% for 312 seats in 2017. There has been phenomenal increase in the vote percentage from previous assembly election of 2012.

6. It is true that AAP, defeated BJP, by 24000 votes in Bhawana, constituency to retain it’s seat. Even in Chitrakoot, where Congress won, it retained it’s seat. In both these states, BJP never lost the constituency but AAP and Congress retained their seats. This cannot be called decline in popularity.
7. BJP, is holding most of the bigger states of Rajasthan, Gujarath, Maharashtra, UP, Bihar, MP, Chattisghar, Assam, Jarkhand, AP, except perhaps WB, Odissa, Karnataka Telengana, Kerala, TN. However it is in the second position in Karnataka, WB, Odissa. It will be no wonder if the party captures power in these states as well soon when election take place.

8. Going through the results of all the states, the picture revealed is that in fact the opposition is constricting. Virtually there is no opposition to BJP. Even the Congress which once occupied primacy in Indian politics has decayed to a level that it is unable to regain it’s original position.
9. In every state vote percentage of BJP has only increased. Also it has representatives in almost all the states. Hence BJP is not declining but growing tall to be a powerful monolith.
