Job Description
Job Purpose:
To develop & drive & Implement sort and long-term strategic business plan and growth initiatives for Mwasalat and ensure the sustainable growth of it commercial activities into a leading transportation provider in Oman, in alignment with ASYAD’s overall corporate strategy / strategic plan, focus areas and objectives. To develop and oversee the implementation of marketing and communications strategy, to ensure a strong corporate brand and improve its brand awareness and to manage all the business development, Commercial, marketing, Sales, customer experience activities and new initiatives at MWASALAT.
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare the strategic business plan for MWASALAT (long term and short term) in coordination with the other member of the senior management and to monitor its implementation.
- To work with other member of the senior leadership team to prepare detailed action plans, resource(Manpower, budget and others) requirements in order to implement the business plan.
- To track the Implementation of business plan and to take corrective action when required.
- To follow up with heads of departments regarding the progress on the business plan and to provide direction when required.
- To develop and manage long-term and short-term investment strategies of MWASALAT;
- To review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the changing external and internal Conditions.
- To identify and develop new business opportunities by analyzing business needs; to screen potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, evaluating options, resolving internal priorities, recommending investments
- To develop the marketing, branding and pricing strategy for MWASALAT in coordination with other member of senior management.
- To identify and develop potential business deals/bus contracts etc. in coordination with the operations department.
- To oversee the pricing and the bidding process and to develop good business relationship to current and potential clients.
- To develop the MWASALAT Enterprise Risk Management framework and manage the processes at MWASALAT.
- To chair and serve as a member of various committees in MWASALAT.
- To represent MWASALAT and the CEO in designated in meetings, as committee member, and before community and businessgroups, as and when required.
- To contribute to capability building in MWASALAT by recruiting staff, communicating job expectations, training & mentoring employees and drive high levels of employee engagement and staff motivation in order to achieve departmental objectives.
- To support the implementation of programs to assure safety and emergency preparedness.
- To promote a safe work environment while complying with all of MWASALAT’s safety rules, policies, and procedure.
- To stay abreast of current and emerging technical and regulatory/legal aspects affecting public
- To make the necessary changes in policies and procedures and educate staff accordingly.
- To identify opportunities for improving the commercial aspects of the business including introducing new contracts and charter work
- To proactively identify and pursue opportunities for revenue growth through bus charters and new & existing contracts.
- To attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications to become and remain current on transportation commercial principles, practices, and new developments.
- Improving customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth.
- Taking ownership of customers issues and following problems through to resolution. Setting a clear mission and deploying strategies focused towards that mission
- To lead the IT and technology enablement of various processes in the Customer Service function so as to increase efficiency and streamline processes.
- Direct the preparation and consolidation of the unit budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues; identify areas of unsatisfactory performance and ensure potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Direct and guide the management of change within the unit through continuous improvement of organizational systems, processes and practices considering the shareholder directions and changes in the business environment.
- Manage the execution of marketing and communication activities and events in line with the strategy and annual plan including procurement of media agencies, negotiation of rates and buy of media slots (TV, radio, press) for the year in line with budget, and the content development for traditional and digital media in line with media brief.
- Develop the communications plan including media briefings, media buying plans and campaign plans for the year.

Job Purpose:
To provide outstanding customer service to user departments and serve as a technical resource to departments regarding information technology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- To monitor service desk and respond quickly to all IT operation systems/applications related user issues across MWASALAT
- Assesses malfunctions of hardware and/or software applications for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain computer, printing, network, and database operations.
- To maintain register and track of departments/users service requests.
- To assist with setting up of IT computer systems for new users; to assist in maintaining and testing the hardware as per the schedule.
- To guide the users for proper and efficient usage of computer system and notifying them on system changes in a timely manner.
- To ensure proper software and hardware requirements of each workstation across MWASALAT.
