No Curfews, No Regional Lockdown, Not closing Airport in Kuwait, iiQ8
Ministers decided, in its extraordinary meeting today, headed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, not to resort to curfews or regional lockdown, or to close the airport, but to go ahead with institutional quarantine for a week on those coming from abroad, similar to domestic workers.

Kuwait City, 4th February 2021:
Kuwait shut Malls, Restaurants from 8 PM to 5 AM, iiQ8
Commercial malls, restaurants to shut from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
The Council of Ministers is expected to impose stringent measures in their press briefing shortly, stating starting next week, clubs and salons are to completely remain shut, while commercial malls and restaurants are required to remain shut from 8pm to 5 am, Al-Qabas daily reported, quoting sources.
This is a measure against the rising coronavirus cases, and failure of the public to adhere to health regulations.
The sources also confirmed that a recommendation was adopted to impose a week-long institutional quarantine for arrivals to Kuwait, provided the decision will be effective later this month.
Kuwait is witnessing an increase in Coronavirus cases, hospitalizations and intensive care, and an increase in the rate of infection to swabs.

Oman received the first batch of vaccine from Pfizer towards end December last year
Muscat: A consignment of 100,000 doses of Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India reached Oman by Air India on January 30. The vaccine doses that arrived as gift from India were handed over to Oman’s Minister of Health, through the Embassy of India in Oman. Ambassador Munu Manawar hailed this development as another important milestone in Oman-India relationship in his tweet, which he shared immediately after the hand-over of vaccine to Oman’s Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Saeedi.
