60+ Years Residency Renewal Approved, Work Permits Granted for 1 year, iiQ8 info
Kuwait The Public Authority for Manpower agreed to allow residents aged 60 and older who do not have university degrees to renew their visas for a KD 250 annual fee plus a private health insurance.
WORK PERMITS GRANTED FOR EXPATS AGED 60, EFFECTIVE FOR A YEAR
• Kuwait Minister of Justice & Minister of State for “Nazaha” Boosting Affairs Jamal announced on Monday allowing issuance of work permits for expatriates aged 60 & above, who hold a high school degree or a lower educational degree.
• Permits would be issued for a KD250 fee, the concerned workers must have full health insurance from one of the insurance companies, listed in Boursa Kuwait.
•The decision is applicable to other segments such as hupbancis of Kuwaiti women, children of Kuwaiti female citizens wives of Kuwaitis & Palestinians who hold residency documents.
• It is effective for a year & will be revised within this period according to the labor market conditions.
EXPATS ABOVE 60 YEARS OLD RESIDENCE RENEWAL FEE SET TO KD 250 PER YEAR
The Public Authority for Manpower Board of Directors held meeting under the chairmanship of Minister Jamal Al-Malawi and agreed to renew work permits for expatriates above 60 years old for KD 250 dinars plus private health insurance, provided that the decision is reviewed after a year, reports Al Rai .
This decision excludes Children of Kuwaiti women, Kuwaiti women’s expat husbands and Palestinians.
