🌹ఓరాజుకు నలుగురు కొడుకులు ఉండేవారు. “ఎవడైతే సర్వాధికుడైన ధర్మాత్ముణ్ణి వెతికి తీసుకువస్తాడో అతడికే రాజ్యాధికారం ఇస్తాను” అన్నాడు ఆ రాజు తన కొడుకులతో.

రాకుమారులు నలుగురూ తమ గుఱ్ఱాలు తీసుకుని నాలుగు దిక్కులకూ బయలుదేరారు.

 

కొన్నాళ్ల తర్వాత పెద్ద కొడుకు తిరిగి వచ్చి తండ్రికి ఎదురుగా ఓవ్యాపారిని నిలబెట్టి, “ఈ శేఠ్ గారు వేలాది రూపాయలు దానం చేస్తుంటారు. ఎన్నో గుళ్లూ గోపురాలు కట్టించారు. చెరువులు తవ్వించారు. చలివేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. తీర్థక్షేత్రాలలో ఎన్నో వ్రతాలు చేస్తుంటారు. నిత్యం పురాణ శ్రవణం చేస్తుంటారు. గోపూజలు చేస్తుంటారు. ప్రపంచంలో వీరిని మించిన గొప్ప ధర్మాత్ముడెవరూ ఉండరు.” అన్నాడు.

Sons and children born with due relationship – కొడుకులు బిడ్డలు బాకీ సంబంధం తో పుడతారు

 

’ఈయన నిశ్చయంగా ధర్మాత్ముడే!’అని పలికిన రాజు, ఆ వ్యాపారిని సత్కరించి పంపివేశాడు.

రెండవ కొడుకు ఓ బక్కచిక్కిన బ్రాహ్మణుడిని తీసుకువచ్చి “ప్రభూ! ఈ బ్రాహ్మణుడు నాలుగు ధామాలకు, సప్తపురాలకు కాలినడకన వెళ్లి యాత్రలు చేసివచ్చాడు. సదా వీరు చాంద్రాయణ ప్రతం చేస్తుంటారు. అసత్యానికి వీరు భయపడతారు. ఈయన కోపగించడం ఎవరూ, ఎన్నడూ చూడలేదు. నియమబద్దంగా మంత్ర జపాదులు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న తరువాతే జలపానం చేస్తారు. త్రికాలాల్లోనూ స్నానం చేసి సంధ్యావందనం చేస్తారు. ఈకాలంలో యీవిశ్వంలో వీరిని మించి సర్వశ్రేష్ట ధర్మాత్ములెవరూ లేరు.” అన్నాడు.

 

రాజు బ్రాహ్మణ దేవతకు నమస్కరించి అధిక దక్షిణలిచ్చి, వీరు మంచి ధర్మాత్ములే అంటూ పంపివేశాడు.

 

మూడవ కొడుకు కూడా ఒక బాబాజీని తీసుకొని వచ్చాడు. ఆబాబాజీ వస్తూనే ఆసనం వేసుకుని కళ్ళు మూసుకుని కూర్చుండి పోయారు. జీర్ణమైన బట్టలతో అస్థిపంజరంలా ఉన్న ఆకారంతో ఆయన కనిపిస్తున్నాడు. అందరూ ఆసీనులైన తరువాత మూడవ కొడుకూ “ప్రభూ! వీరు ఎంతగానో నేను ప్రార్థించగా ఇక్కడకు విచ్చేశారు. వీరు మహా తపస్వులు. వారానికి ఒక్కసారి మాత్రమే క్షీరపానం చేస్తారు. గ్రీష్మ ఋతువులో పంచాగ్ని మధ్యంలో ఉంటారు. శీతకాలంలో జలాలలో నిలబడుతారు. సదా భగవంతుని ధ్యానంలో వుండే వీరికి మించిన మహా ధర్మాత్ములు లభించడం దుర్లభమే…” అన్నాడు.

రాజు ఆమహాత్మునికి సాష్టాంగ ప్రణామం చేసి వారి ఆశీస్సులు అందుకుని వీడ్కోలు పలికాడు.. ఆపై వీరు ధర్మాత్ములే అన్నాడు.

రాజు “ఏమయ్యా! నువ్వు ఏంధర్మం చేస్తుంటావు?”

అది విని కొడుకులందరూ అటూ ఇటూ చూడసాగారు. రాజు అప్పుడు, “దాన ధర్మాలు చేయడం, గోపూజ చేయడం, అసత్యమాడక పోవడం క్రోధంగా ఉండక పోవడం, తీర్థయాత్రలు, సంధ్యావందనం పూజాదులు కొనసాగించడం కూడా ధర్మమే. తపస్సు చేయడం ఆవశ్యకమైన ధర్మమే, కానీ సర్వాధిక ధర్మమేమంటే అర్థించక పోయినా అసహాయ స్థితిలో ఉన్న వారిని ఆదుకోవడం, రోగికి సేవ చేయడం, కష్టంలో ఉన్న వారికి చేయూతనీయడం సర్వాధికమైన ధర్మం. పరులకు సహకరించే వారికి తనంతతానుగా సహాయం అందుతుంది. త్రిలోక నాథుడైన పరమాత్మ అట్టి పరోపకార పరాయణునిపై ప్రసన్నుడై ఉంటాడు” అని అన్నాడు.

అందుకే పరోపకారం అన్నింటికన్నా మించిన ధర్మం. అది నిర్వర్తించే వాడే ధర్మాత్ముడు.🌹
