New instructions to call-taxi companies, taxi offices in Kuwait
#Kuwait : Ministry of interior issues new instructions to roaming & call-taxi companies & taxi offices operating taxi services
The General Traffic Directorate at Ministry of interior on Tuesday issued instructions to roaming & call-taxi companies & taxi offices operating the taxi services in #Kuwait, The instructions are to provide the best services to Citizens & Residents in a manner that guarantees their safety & the safety of the drivers & to facilitate traffic on the roads.
▪️ The taxi must display the permit in both Arabic & English in a clear place behind the driver’s seat.
▪️ The taxi company’s details, including the driver’s phone number, are to be displayed inside.
▪️ Roaming taxi must operate the meter.
▪️ Taxi sign light must be illuminated in the absence of passengers.
▪️ On-demand taxis are not allowed to pick up passengers from the street.
▪️ Roaming & call-taxi are not allowed to pick up passengers from Kuwait International Airport.
▪️ Mobile taxi drivers cannot load passengers from highways or main roads.
▪️ Taxi drivers are allowed to transport only passengers & it is not permissible to transport things or food in the taxi.
The General Traffic Department stressed the need for taxi drivers to abide by these instructions, & any taxi driver who violates the instructions will be held accountable.
