Kuwait Announced COVID19 Bivalent Booster Available in 16 Locations
The Ministry Of Health in Kuwait, announced that the Covid19 bivalent booster vaccine will be available at 16 locations around the country.
From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM starting from 1st February, 2023 Wednesday.
The new booster vaccine provides protection against the original strain of the virus as well as the Omicron variants, anyone over the age of 18 who has taken a 2nd dose of any Covid19 vaccine or booster shot is eligible to take the new booster.
According to Al Rai newspaper, the Public Health Department addressed a letter to the director of the Primary Health Care Department under the title “Training on Giving the Moderna Bivalent Covid 19 Vaccine.”
It included the specific centers that will provide the service, namely as below
Sheikha Fotouh Salman Al-Sabah Health Centers in Shamiya,
Jassim Al-Wazzan Health Center in Mansouriyah,
Jaber Al-Ahmad Health Center 1 in the Capital Health District,
Hawally Health District,
Salwa Specialized Health Centers,
Mahmoud Haji Haider Health Center,
Rumaithiya Specialist Center,
Al-Omariya centers,
Abdullah Al-Mubarak
Al-Andalus
Farwaniya area,
Fintas and Fahaheel
Specialized Health Centers in the Ahmadi area,
Al-Adan Specialized Center in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area.
Meanwhile, the centers of
Al Naeem,
Al Oyoun and
Saad Al Abdullah Health Center – Block 10 in
Jahra Area Abdulrahman Al Zaid Health Center in West Mishref has been designated as the vaccination service for booster doses for ages 12 to under 18 years, as well as the first and second doses for ages 5 and above.

Booster Doses for Covid 19 Vaccination are currently being offered to the following priority groups:
- People Aged over 50 years
- Healthcare Workers
- Those with weakened Immune system
Individuals 16 years and above till 50 years will be offered the booster dose after a minimum interval of 6 months following the second dose.
Booster Dose Vaccine for age groups between 12 – 16 years will be made available as and when approvals are obtained from COVID Vaccination committee.
