Indian Embassy published revised minimum wage requirement for Indian workers
Indian Embassy in Kuwait revised the minimum wage requirement for Indian workers to be recruited to Kuwait. The updated minimum wage is published on the Embassy website, which will be in effect from January 2019. The minim wage for Indian workers was last revised in January, 2016. “Considering the rise in cost of living in Kuwait since the last revision and the prevailing market rates of wages for both domestic and private sector workers, it has been decided to revise the minimum structure for various job categories of Indian workers in Kuwait with immediate effect,” embassy said on its website.
According to the revised list, the minimum wages for unskilled helpers, cleaner and labours are increased to 100 KD. Earlier it was 85 KD. Minimum salary for skilled workers in technical, mechanical and construction field varies from 120 to 150 KD whereas only minor change in the minimum salary for BSC Nurse is revised to 350 KD and that of diploma holder is 275 KD. Earlier it was 325 and 260 KD respectively. Domestic workers such as House Maid, cook, drivers etc minimum requirement is revised to 100 KD from earlier 70 KD.

However, there is no change with regard to other items and conditions viz. free food, free accommodation, free transport, free medical insurance, to & fro air ticket etc. The revised minimum wage structure available on Indian Embassy website.
