Free of Charge Tourist Visas

Government of India has decided to grand the first 5,00,000 Tourist Visas free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis starting from 6 October 2021.

2. Government of India has also decided to allow certain relaxations in travel restrictions for Foreign Tourists intending to visit India, the salient points of which are :

i. Foreign nationals intending to visit India for the purpose of tourism will be allowed to enter India on e-Tourist Visa / Regular / Paper Tourist Visa through charted flights (for group tourism only) from 15 October 2021.

ii. All individual foreign nationals intending to travel to India for tourism purposes, by flights or by sea routes only, would be permitted to enter India from 15 November 2021.

iii. All foreign nationals, under point (i) and (ii) above, would be required to obtain a fresh e-Tourist / Regular / Paper Tourist Visa which will have to be utilized withing 120 days from the date of issue of such Visa. This Visa will remain valid for single entry for up to 30 days from the date of entry. Existing valid e-Tourist / Regular / Paper Tourist Visa would continue to remain suspended till further orders;

iv. This facility would be applicable only to Tourist Visa / e-Tourist Visa issued on or after 6 October 2021. For further information please write to cons.kuwait@mea.gov.in

v. In respect of quarantine and all other health / Covid-19 related matters, extant guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India shall be strictly adhered to.
