Family visit and tourist visas are still suspended in Kuwait, iiQ8

Despite the recent decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding opening visas, family visits and tourist visas are still suspended, local Arabic daily Al-Qabas reported quoting sources. The visas for children over 16 years of age, and that for parents are also suspended except for some jobs such as the medical and teaching sector, it added.

Al-Qabas daily reported that the directors of the residency affairs departments in the six governorates received clear and explicit instructions to set strict controls on the entry of expatriates, and not open the door for everyone to enter the country.


The salary of 500 KD, as well as vaccination certificate, is a must for applying family visa. Those wishing to bring in wife and children under 16 years of age must have a salary of 500 dinars.

Meanwhile, the residency affairs departments in the six governorates completed about 7,000 various transactions, including issuing family visa and commercial visit visas in one day. 45% of these transactions were that of commercial visit visa.
