We’re currently looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join a professional team in Kuwait. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to spot risks before they become incidents, communicate clearly with teams on the ground, and maintain strong HSE standards across operations.

You’ll be one of those people everyone relies on — quietly making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

🔍 Position Overview

As a Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment. You’ll work closely with site teams and management to ensure that health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations are not just followed — but understood.

This role suits someone who is practical, observant, and confident enough to speak up when something isn’t right.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and local regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards early and recommend preventive and corrective actions
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency response guidance to staff
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions — and document findings clearly
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and HSE documentation
• Work closely with management to promote a strong, proactive safety culture across all operations

Some days will be calm and routine. Others will need quick thinking and firm decisions. That’s the nature of the job — and that’s why it matters.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background (Any ONE of the following):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
  ➝ Minimum 4 years’ experience as safety personnel

OR

• 3-Year Full-Time Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute/university
  ➝ Minimum 6 years’ experience as safety personnel

OR

• High School Graduate from a recognized institute
  ➝ Minimum 8 years’ total experience, including at least 10 years as safety personnel in a relevant field

📜 Mandatory Safety Certifications

Candidates must hold at least one recognized safety certification, such as:

• NEBOSH IGC (or NEBOSH Oil & Gas)
• Diploma RLI / CLI
• IOSH NVQ Level 4
• National Safety Council Certification
• Master’s Degree in HSE
• Or any equivalent internationally recognized safety qualification

✅ Additional certifications like CSP, ASP, CRSP, etc., will be considered a strong advantage and given higher preference.

🧑‍💼 Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the current or similar Safety Officer role
• Relevant field experience (construction, oil & gas, industrial, or related sectors preferred)
• Practical knowledge of HSE standards, procedures, and reporting systems
