Kuwait City, 10th October 2021: Booster Dose is not a Mandatory for travelers, Kuwait MoH, iiQ8 News The procedures related to travel will remain the same despite registration for booster dose (3rd Dose) being opened for 18 yrs and above. Those who have been vaccinated with two doses of Pfizer, Oxford and Moderna and one dose of Johnson & Johnson travel are considered immunized and are allowed to enter Kuwait. Those who have received two doses of unapproved vaccines in Kuwait such as (Sinopharma, Sinovac and Sputnik) need to receive at least one dose of approved vaccines in Kuwait. International organizations recommend third dose to boost immunity against coronavirus. Last week the European Medicine Agency authorized administration of a third dose of Pfizer for adults and those above the age of 18, at least after 6 months after receiving the second dose, report Al Rai. Kuwait City, 9th October 2021: The Ministry of Health official spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad announced the opening of registration to receive the “third dose” of the Covid-19 vaccine, for age groups 18 years and over. Al-Sanad explained that the dates for third dose will be according to the priority groups, and according to the availability of vaccines. Third dose will be for those who received the second dose at least six month before. Priority will be for those above 60 years old, health workers, and people with immunodeficiency diseases. Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Lt Gen. Faisal Al Nawaf on Wednesday met senior traffic officials and discussed a proposal to halt issuing driving licences for expatriates, according to Al Qabas newspaper. The pros and cons of the proposal were debated at the meeting. On the positive side, halting issuance of new driving licences for expats will result in reducing the number of cars on roads, thus cutting traffic congestion and accidents, the paper said. KUWAIT: The Ministry of Health advised incoming GCC citizens and visitors from other countries to Kuwait to update online registration of vaccination certificates issued abroad. Management Information System Director at the Ministry of Health Ahmad Al-Ghareeb said in a statement to KUNA that travelers coming to Kuwait, after data entering and uploading vaccination certificates, could authenticate the certificates by uploading the request on Immune application via Apple or Play Google. The updating enables arrivals to activate Immune app ahead of coming to Kuwait and that is by entering the passport number and the previously used e-mail for registration. He (or she) will get at the end of the process a verification code for updating the app ahead of arrival in the country. Facebook Inc blamed a “faulty configuration change” for a nearly six-hour outage on Monday that prevented the company’s 3.5 billion users from accessing its social media and messaging services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger. The company in a late Monday blog post did not specify who executed the configuration change and whether it was planned. Several Facebook employees who declined to be named had told Reuters earlier that they believed that the outage was caused by an internal mistake in how internet traffic is routed to its systems. The failures of internal communication tools and other resources that depend on that same network in order to work compounded the error, the employees said. The waivers cover commercial visits and work permits needed for farms, restaurants food industry, bakeries and fishing, the government communication center said in a statement on its Twitter account on Monday 4th October 2021.
