Kuwait 16th May, 2020: Director-General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Manfouhi announced an advisory to change the working hours of grocery stores during the total lockdown, that was enacted countrywide six days ago. "All these stores and their staffers are required to abide by the regulations, previously stipulated in advisories no. 810and 811 (2020), otherwise they could face shutdown," Al-Manfouhi cautioned. Monday, May 11, 2020 Kuwait Government allows home delivery of groceries  Kuwait Municipality announced on Monday that grocery stores are permitted to deliver foodstuffs and other commodities to nearby residents during the full curfew enacted yesterday afternoon. The permission is based on a decision by the cabinet in this regard, the municipality said in a statement on Monday. No vehicle can be used in the home delivery of groceries, it said, noting that the grocery stores are not allowed to receive shoppers. It affirmed that only the grocery stores located in investment areas could benefit from the decision and deliver items to consumers during the morning shift (from 8:00 am. to 4:00 pm) and the night shift (from 8:00 pm. to 1:30 am.)
