India’s Modi orders review of reopening on Omicron COVID concerns
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told officials to review plans to ease travel restrictions as concerns rise over the new variant.
The world’s second-worst affected country by the pandemic had only Friday decided to resume international passenger flights from countries deemed “at risk” of the coronavirus, while ordering tightened border screening.
But after the WHO declared the new variant to be “of concern”, Modi “highlighted the need for monitoring all international arrivals, their testing as per guidelines, with a specific focus on countries identified ‘at risk’,” the government said in a statement after he met with officials to review the COVID-19 and vaccination situation.
Modi said people must be more cautious and take proper precautions, such as wearing masks and social distancing.…

India has allowed scheduled from December 15, with a majority of countries where Covid is in control.
The aviation ministry order issued on Friday has divided countries into three parts based on health ministry's Covid analysis and accordingly allowed resumption of flights.
The 3 categories are as follows:
1) Countries not at risk: Flights as per bilateral air service agreements or pre-Covid times. These include the US and Canada, among others.
2) Countries at risk but with whom India has an air bubble agreement: Flights to be lowed at 75 per cent of pre-Covid times.
3) Countries at risk and with whom India does not have an air bubble: 50 per cent of pre-Covid times.

Kuwait bans transfers of visit visas to labour, iiQ8 info
Kuwaiti labour authorities have halted transfer of commercial visit visas to work permits, as part of efforts to head off a new wave of COVID-19, a Kuwaiti newspaper has reported.
The move partially reverses a decision issued by the Kuwaiti Cabinet last month resuming the issuance of all types of entry visas to the country.
Starting from Tuesday, the Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) stopped issuing work permits for foreigners arriving in the country on commercial visit visas, Al Rai reported.
The step comes upon a recommendation from a ministerial committee in charge of tackling COVID-19 as part of a series of precautionary measures against a new wave of Coronavirus unfolding in the region and many European countries, the paper said, citing what it described as well-informed sources.

Kuwait City, 25th November 2021:
Expats from 53 countries and professionals from GCC can apply for tourist visa - MOI updates application for Tourist visa and Online payment system
To keep up with the latest global system and to modernize and develop e-service to ease the service to the public, the Ministry of Interior has updated the e-visa system for issuing tourist visas and paying fees.
The MOI stated in a press statement that the system has been updated to issue tourist visas through the MOI website for 53 countries whose nationals are allowed to obtain this type of visa.
GCC residents (Expats) who has residency for more than 6 months in one of the GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman) and who hold professions as per the Ministerial Resolution no. 220 of 2008 such as
