Is Eid al-Fitr 4 days?
Eid al-Fitr is celebrated for one to three days, depending on the country. It is forbidden to fast on the Day of Eid, and a specific prayer is nominated for this day. As an obligatory act of charity, money is paid to the poor and the needy (Zakat-ul-fitr) before performing the ‘Eid prayer.

Why is Eid al-Fitr a holiday?
Eid al-Fitr is one of two major holidays celebrated by Muslims and commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset. It is commemorated by a large, community-wide prayer service in the morning, followed by meals and conversation with friends and family.

The holiday begins on Tuesday, Ramadan 30, corresponding to April 9, as it is the last day of the month of Ramadan. The 3 days of Eid are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, respectively, April 10, 11, and 12. Sunday, corresponding to April 14, is a rest day instead of Friday, April 12, so the vacation becomes 6 days.
