3 months imprisonment with KD 5,000 fine for those who break home quarantine rule
KUWAIT CITY, 12th August, 2020:
The Ministry of Health stated that expats coming from abroad if they violate home quarantine rule will be refereed to the judicial authority.
As per the paragraph 1 of Article 17 amended by Article 1 of Law No. 4 of 2020, violator shall be imprisoned for a period not exceeding three months and a fine not exceeding five thousand dinars or one of these two penalties for not adhering to home quarantine as per the law No. 8 of 1969 regarding health precautions to prevent communicable diseases, and its amendments reports Al Rai.
MOH called upon everyone who come from abroad to adhere to the prescribed confinement in order to preserve the safety of self and the society and to avoid the penalties stipulated in the relevant laws in this regard.
