” నా పేరు బ్రియాన్. ఇక్కడ దగ్గరలో మెకానిక్ షాప్ లో పని చేస్తాను ” అన్నాడు . అతను డిక్కీ తెరిచి కావలసిన సామాను తీసుకుని కారు కిందకి దూరి జాకీ బిగించాడు . తారు రోడ్డు గీసుకొన్న రక్తపు చారాల చేతులతో జాకీ బిగించి టైరు తీసి టైర్ మార్చాడు . సామాను తిరిగి కారులో పెట్టాడు ..
ఆమె డబ్బులు తీసి ఇవ్వబొయింది . వద్దు అన్నాడు .” మీరు కాదనకండి . మీరు ఈ సహాయం చెయ్యక పోతే నా పరిస్థితిని తలుచుకుంటే నాకు భయం వేస్తోంది” అంది.
” నేను కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఎవరో ఒకరు సహాయ పడ్డారు . మీకు సహాయం చెయ్యాలనిపిస్తే ఎవరైనా కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నారనిపిస్తే నా పేరు తలచుకుని వారికి సహాయం చెయ్యండి ” అని వెళ్లి పోయాడు…
మనసులోనే కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పుకుంటూ ఆమె కారు నడుపుకుంటూ వెడుతోంది . అప్పుడు ఆమెకు ఆకలి గుర్తుకు వచ్చింది . తను వెళ్ళ వలసిన దూరం చాలా ఉంది . ఆకలి, చలీ ఆమెను రోడ్డుపక్కన ఉన్న హోటల్ కి వెళ్ళేలా చేశాయి …

తిరిగి వచ్చేటప్పటికి ఈమె కనబడలేదు ..
ఈమె కూర్చున్న టేబుల్ మీద ఉన్న గ్లాసు క్రింద ఒక కాగితమూ దాని కింద నాలుగు 1000 నోట్లూ ఉన్నాయి . ఆ కాగితం చదివిన హోటల్ మెయిడ్ కి కన్నీళ్లు ఆగలేదు . అందులో ఇలా ఉంది ..” చిరు నవ్వుతో ఉన్న నీ ముఖం నీకు బాధలు లేవేమో అన్నట్టు ఉంది . నువ్వు నిండు నెలలతో పని చేస్తున్నావు అంటే నీకు డబ్బు అవసరం అని అనిపిస్తోంది . నాకు ఒక మిత్రుడు సహాయ పడినట్టే అతడిని తలచుకుంటూ నేను నీకు సహాయ పడుతున్నాను. నువ్వూ ఇలాగే ఇతరులకు సహాయపడు . ” అని రాసి ఉంది..
ఇంటికి వచ్చింది . అప్పుడే ఇంటికి వచ్చి అలసి పోయి పడుకున్న భర్త చేతి కేసి చూసింది .
