Residence Affairs Sector: The start of the automatic cancellation of residencies (domestic workers) in accordance with Article (20) located outside the country For 6 months or more.

The Residency Affairs Sector announced that the department would restart the automatic cancellation of residencies of domestic workers, Article (20), who are outside the country for more than six months. The six months will be calculated starting from December 1st 2021.

This is implemented after the return of normal life in the country and the stability of the health
situation.

Earlier, the automatic cancellation of residency for those who are outside the country for more than six months was stopped due to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, which imposed travel restrictions, including the closure of the airport.

Meanwhile, the administration clarified that citizens who wish to maintain the residency of domestic workers for more than six months could submit a request for permission exclusively before the end of six month period.
