Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has demanded that all governmental hospitals treat emergency patients without asking for proof of identity, local media reported.
The memo stated that the hospitals should prioritize urgent medical intervention to address the patient’s condition and then once they are stable they can collect identity verification and treatment fees.

Kuwait PAM launches 4 new online services, iiQ8
The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Kuwait announced that four new online services was introduced on its website www.manpower.gov.kw to allow a worker to submit a request to transfer a work permit to another visa. The request will be reviewed by the Labor Relations Department before the application is processed, Al Rai daily reported.
PAM stated that the new services include:
1- Request to cancel work permit, and transfer to family visa.
2- Request to cancel the work permit to transfer to domestic worker visa.
3- Request to cancel work permit to transfer to the government sector.
4- Request to cancel the work permit for final departure from the country.
PAM has updated its website with new services to streamline procedures in various fields, and enable visitors to complete transactions without need to visit the department.

The Kuwait, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mustafa Reda stated those who are vaccinated will be exempted from institutional quarantine and are satisfied with only home quarantine for those arrivals who have been vaccinated by state approved vaccines such as Pfizer Bionic, AstraZeneca Oxford, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson which are currently being used to vaccine citizens and expats in the country.
This is in accordance with the Cabinet resolution issued on March 22nd, 2021 on below conditions.
1- Those who have been vaccinated with one dose of one of the vaccines approved in Kuwait, and more than five weeks have passed.
2- Those who have been vaccinated with two doses of one of the vaccines approved in Kuwait, and more than two weeks have passed since after taking the second dose.

An uptick in coronavirus infections has recently been seen in the country.
Around 190,000 illegal expatriates in Kuwait have no access to COVID-19 vaccines raising concerns in the country that is struggling to curtail the spread of the disease and achieve community immunity.
Earlier this month, Kuwait extended a grace period by an additional month for illegal foreign residents in the country due now to expire on May 15.
Interior Minister Thamer Al Ali decreed the extension on humanitarian and health grounds, security sources said.
