FAQ – ECNR Registration

Question 1: What is this recent Advisory is all about?

Answer 1: As per the MEA’s advisory dated 14th Nov 2018, ECNR Passport holders travelling to 18ECR Countries on Employment Visa have to Register in eMigrate system, at least 24 hours prior to their departure. Their registration confirmation would be verified by Bureau of Immigration (BoI) at emigration counters prior to their departure. One may go through the Advisory for more details.

Question 2: Is it applicable to those who are already working in these 18 notified countries? If yes,how and when should they register?

Answer 2: No. Those already working overseas are not required to register while they are overseas.However, if they come on vacation and are returning back, on the same employment they would need to register. This is only required one time for a g…

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has started an on-line Registration facility for Indian Engineers who are affected by Non-NBA Accreditation.

Earlier, during the interaction with Joint Secretary (Gulf), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, on 2nd November 2018, Indian engineers in Kuwait had explained their various grievances arising out of KSE’s insistence on NBA accreditation. 

Indian Embassy informed that in order to compile and systematically tabulate this information, which is necessary to take up these cases appropriately with Kuwaiti authorities, an on-line Registration facility is opened at the Embassy website.

Indian engineers who continue to be affected by their non-NBA accreditation, and have not been able to regularize their residency status, are requested to register themselves at the link www.indembkwt.gov.in/engineer.aspx The registration will be closed on 30 November 2018.

The first 5G iPhone is likely to use an Intel modem, the 8161, and it could hit stores in 2020, according to a report on Fast Company.

If everything goes as planned, Intel will be the sole provider of iPhone modems, said the report.

For prototyping and testing the 5G iPhone, Intel is reportedly working on a precursor to the 8161 called the 8060.

To increase transistor density for more speed and efficiency, Intel is likely to fabricate the 8161 using its 10-nanometre process.

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) Sunday opened a new branch in Fahaheel Cooperative Society to serve over one million citizens and residents in Al-Ahmadi governorate.

The new branch would lessen the pressure on the main headquarters in Hawalli governorate, which serves 49 areas, Director General of Kuwait's PACI Musaed Al-Asousi said in a statement.

The new branch came after the successful opening of a similar one in Al-Jahra governorate, noted Al-Asousi, adding that the Ministry of Public Works would supervise the construction of the new facility.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will visit Qatar and Kuwait, two of India's key energy security partners in West Asia, from October 28 to 31, it was announced on (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Friday.
